About
Who I work well with
You may be someone who is functioning well in many parts of life, yet still feel caught in patterns that are difficult to shift on your own. Anxiety, obsessive thoughts, rumination, avoidance, or long-standing habits may be taking up more space than you would like, despite repeated efforts to manage them differently.
I work with adults who are ready to look carefully at what may be keeping these patterns going and to approach change in a thoughtful, practical, and evidence-based way. My practice is designed for people who value focused, personalised care and who are willing to engage actively in therapy.
I am often a good fit for adults who:
Want a structured, evidence-based approach that is still warm and collaborative.
Are interested in working towards longer-term goals and changing habits that hold them back, rather than settling for short-term relief.
Have clear goals for change but are finding it difficult to translate intention into action.
Are willing to engage in practical work between sessions.
Want someone to help them stay focused and accountable as they work on making changes between sessions.
Value a thoughtful, personalised approach and the consistency of a limited-caseload practice.
This practice may be less suitable if you are looking for very brief, one-off support, or if you are not in a position to engage with the between-session work that is often part of my approach.
How I work
I offer a limited number of appointments so that I can provide a focused, thoughtful and individualised level of care. My style is calm and collaborative, and sessions are structured but conversational. I aim to create a space where we can understand what is happening clearly, identify the patterns that may be contributing to distress, and work towards meaningful change in a way that feels manageable and grounded.
A central part of my approach is the use of structured exercises between sessions. I routinely suggest practical tasks that build on what we have worked on together, so that therapy does not remain something that only happens in session. This may include behavioural experiments, reflection tasks, or planned practice of new strategies, depending on your goals. Engaging with this between-session work is an important part of the process, as it helps translate insight into change in day-to-day life.
For ongoing clients, I can sometimes offer brief email contact between sessions if needed, for example to support therapy tasks or clarify questions about what we are working on. We would discuss together what is appropriate and how this is managed within the context of your therapy.
Telehealth psychology sessions
All appointments are offered via secure telehealth. Online psychology sessions can be a practical and effective option for adults who want therapy that fits around work, family life, or other commitments, while still receiving focused and consistent support.
Experience
I have worked as a Clinical Psychologist since 2015 across community mental health and private practice, with adults, adolescents, and families. Over time, I have developed a particular focus on working with adults experiencing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive difficulties, and persistent patterns of behaviour that have been difficult to shift.
My work draws on evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Rumination-Focused ERP, and motivational interviewing, depending on each person’s needs and goals. I aim to offer therapy that is both clinically grounded and tailored to the individual, rather than formulaic or one-size-fits-all.
