Areas of Focus

Anxiety and worry

I help clients understand the thoughts, behaviours, and patterns that may be maintaining anxiety. Therapy may involve identifying unhelpful thinking styles, reducing avoidance and reassurance-seeking, and developing more effective ways of responding to uncertainty and distress.

Guidance to manage anxiety symptoms and reduce unhelpful overthinking patterns, such as:
  • Excessive worry and overthinking (Generalised anxiety disorder or GAD)

  • Panic attacks

  • chronic avoidance and procrastination

  • health anxiety

  • Constant sense of being on edge

  • Self-doubt and indecision

Habit and behaviour change

Support to create lasting, positive behaviour shifts.

I work with adults who want support with habit change and behaviour change. You may know what you want to do differently, but still feel stuck when it comes to follow-through. This can include procrastination issues, difficulty maintaining routines, or repeated attempts to change patterns around exercise, eating, health behaviours, or other aspects of daily life that have been difficult to shift.

Therapy for habit change is not simply about willpower. It involves understanding what may be getting in the way of change, including avoidance, perfectionism, all-or-nothing thinking, low motivation, or unrealistic expectations. A central part of my approach is using structured exercises between sessions to help translate insight into practical change in day-to-day life.

OCD and intrusive thoughts

My work in this area draws on evidence-based OCD treatment, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Rumination-Focused ERP. Therapy is tailored to the individual and focused on helping you understand your own OCD patterns, reduce compulsive responses, and respond differently to intrusive thoughts and uncertainty over time.

Tailored ERP strategies to understand and work through OCD related challenges including:
  • intrusive thoughts

  • rumination and overthinking

  • compulsive research and reassurance-seeking

  • compulsions including checking and washing

  • mental rituals

  • and avoidance.

I am a Clinical Psychologist providing telehealth therapy for adults across Australia, with a particular focus on anxiety, obsessive-compulsive difficulties, and habit and behaviour change.

My approach is structured, personalised, and evidence-based, and therapy is tailored to your goals, circumstances, and the patterns that may be contributing to distress. If you are looking for a psychologist for anxiety, OCD, or support with changing long-standing habits, therapy can help you understand what may be keeping these patterns going and work towards practical, sustainable change over time.
